The Zambia U-23 National team will face Uganda U-23 National team in an international friendly match on Tuesday.
Head Coach Oswald Mutapa believes the game against Uganda will help him gauge the strength of his charges.
“It is a good test because league games are different from international matches, so before the main game if we can have an international game, it is always very important to gauge the players on which level we are,” Mutapa said.
The U23 will face Uganda next Tuesday at Nkoloma Stadium in an international friendly match before heading to Monrovia for the Morocco 2023 second round, first leg Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.
Zambia plays Sierra Leone over two legs with the winner facing either Egypt or Eswatini in the final qualifying round.
Meanwhile the tickets for next Tuesday’s international friendly match between the Zambia under-23 squad and their Ugandan counterparts have gone on sale at Omega Mall in Northmead.
An open wing ticket is fetching K20 while an VIP ticket is pegged K100.
Zambia is using this match to prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone on October 22 in Monrovia while Uganda plays Tanzania.
