The Zambia Under-20 Men’s National Team has continued building up for the TotalEnergies U-20 AFCON Egypt 2023 in the heart of Ismailia.
Coach Chisi Mbewe’s charges have since landing in Egypt on February 10 gotten accustomed to the chilly environs in Ismailia with temperatures occasionally slipping to below 10 degrees Celsius.
However, with the team settling at the Tolip Resort El Forsan they have shaken off Frigophobia to be at home with their weather.
The FAZ Media Team shares some images from the team training camp as they draw closer to the kick-off of the tournament.
Zambia is in Group C alongside Benin, The Gambia and Tunisia and will head to their tournament base in Alexandria on Saturday.
The first match will be February 21 against Benin before facing The Gambia three days later. In the final Group C match Zambia will tackle Tunisia at the Cairo International Stadium.
Top two teams across the three groups will qualify to the quarterfinals with the eventual semi-finalists qualifying to the FIFA World Cup billed for Indonesia.
