Zambia to face Angola…As Burundi match falls off

The Chipolopolo Boys will face Angola in their second international friendly match of the November FIFA Window instead of Burundi, FAZ has confirmed.

Zambia will play South Africa on Saturday November 15th before facing the Palancas Negras of Angola on November 18th.

FAZ General Secretary Machacha Shepande has revealed that they opted for Angola instead of Burundi as earlier proposed because of technical reasons.

“All is set for the two high profile friendly matches with Zambia playing South Africa and Angola on November 15 and 18 respectively. We have opted to play Angola instead of Burundi for technical reasons,” Shepande said.

Coach Moses Sichone will take charge of the two international friendly matches as he starts his new tenure as interim Chipolopolo Boys head coach.

Both matches will be used as part of preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations set for Morocco next month.

The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Morocco 2025 will take place between 21st December 2025 and 18th  January 2026.

Zambia is in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, West African giants Mali, and Comoros.

The 2012 AFCON winners returned to the tournament last year after an eight year absence but were booted out in the group stage.
