Striker Kennedy Musonda’s first half strike was enough to earn Zambia a 1-0 victory over the Elephants in Ndola.
Zambia top the group on 10 points with next Tuesday’s match against Sierra Leone a dead rubber.
Ivory Coast are second on 9 points while Siera Leone have 5 points with Chad bottom of the group.
