Zambia played well, had a great game despite loss says Chisi

Zambia coach Chisi Mbewe has said the team played well in the 2024 Cosafa Cup 2-0 defeat to Kenya on Thursday.

Two first half goals from the Harambee Stars sealed the victory for the East African.

“We played well. I would say, we had a great game. It’s just unfortunate that we allowed goals in the early minutes of the game. But I think the team played well,” he said.

The holders will now turn attention to Sunday’s mouthwatering clash against Zimbabwe in the latest edition of the ‘Battle of Zambezi’.

Zimbabwe beat Comoros 1-0 in the opening fixture.

Both Kenya and Zimbabwe are on three points while Zambia is bottom.

  1. WHAT IS PLAYING WELL? IF ZAMBIA PLAYED WELL THEY WOULD HAVE EQUALISED IN THE SECOND HALF. FOR ANYONE WHO DID NOT WATCH THE GAME, HE CAN NOT BELIEVE YOU SAY “WE HAD A GREAT GAME ONLY THAT We Let IN FIRST HALF GOAL” (the football historian from Malawi).
