Zambia move up one place on the FIFA/Coca-cola rankings

The Chipolopolo boys have moved up one spot on the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking ladder.

The Copper Bullets now occupy 19th place in Africa and 87th in the World.

This is according to the new FIFA/Coca-cola Rankings released by the football governing body on 31st March and monitored by the ZamFoot Crew.

Zambia had a busy march window playing three friendly matches although one was played outside the FIFA window.

Zambia beat Congo Brazzaville 3-1 last Friday, 25th March thanks to goals from skipper Enock Mwepu, Klings Kangwa and a debut goal from Frankie Chisenga Musonda.

They were back in action on Sunday, 27th March and suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Benin. Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba scored the goal for Zambia.

Asanovic was using the FIFA window to prepare for the June round of the Ivory Coast 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
