The Zambia national team on Friday evening fell to an embarassing 1 – 0 defeat at the hands of Malawi in the Cosafa Plate final.
Captain on the day Kennedy Mweene gifted Malawi the goal when de attempted to dribble the on rushing striker who intercepted the ball and watched it roll over the line.
Zambia were given a lifeline when Malawi were reduced to ten men five minutes later, but Donashano Malama also got himself a second booking for the two teams to finish the game with ten men each.
Despite pressing the Malawians, Zambia failed to trouble the Malawi goalie the entire game.

Janza is witch, after the 1st game against Namibia many bloggers pointed out some players who were not National team material. And yet he has stuck to the same players resulting in defeat.
Plyers like D. Malama. J Mwanza, E. Mbola, Mtonga were all useless, Mweene also age has caught up with him, he is physically tired and decision making has come to be a problem. What an idiotic goal he gifted Malawi.
Which team as janza coached in Zambia for him to acquire the status of National team coach? In football we don’t need Degrees but goals for one to be a successful coach.
This was expected anyway. I am not even surprised. It could have been worse than that result. Malawi were by far the best team on the day with enterprising play of passes, keeping possession and moving forward and had it not been for poor shooting, they could have scored more. As for Zambia as usual, it was chipantepante type of football and running around like headless chickens, with a clueless and useless coach. This must be the last game for Janza.
Zambia goes down to Malawi 1-0 after an error by Mweene I’m sure he must be feeling horrible ryt now. Having watched all the three games Zambia has played, I can conclude that Honour Janza is not a tactician and can not take Zambia to glory times. His player selection is not up to scratch. Jackson Mwanza, Paul Katema, Jimmy Ndhlovu and Malama Donashano are not national team material. We nid a box to box midfielder to replace Isaac Chansa. For strikers we need Roger Kola, Evans Kangwa, Alex Ng’onga, Bornwell Mwape and perhaps Jacob Mulenga. We are yet to see if he’ll continue being at the helm of Chipolopolo as we start Afcon qualifiers. Player selection is Key. If there’s no money for an expatriate coach, can’t we try Lwandamina?
Don’t worry,we have learnt something from this loss and we are rebuilding our team. Janza must be given another chance. This is what many people said when we were booted out of AFCON in the first round. That was the right time to hire another coach and cosafa would have been a good chance for a new coach to access the team. But that wasn’t the case and some idiots were here saying Janza needs time. Well give him more time. All in all, in zambia most people are uneducated and can’t think critically, we support everything in the name of patriotism. This could have been avoided long time ago, Janza showed that he wasn’t up for the task during the AFCON qualifier but a few of us had seen it. Malawi and Namibia beating us ? What a shame !!

I can’t entirely heap the blame on Janza! We just don’t have good material. Those chaps even under Mourinho can’t go anywhere! Its not difficult to spot talent just from the first touch of a good player, but now look at a player like Malama who just kicks the ball in front with the hope that by chance a fellow planga like Mwanza might score!
All the players which are selected are either being marketed,Jimmy,Jackson,Katema,Mudenda,or like trying to show to their clubs which the players play for that they can still offer something and hence no point of them being benched,players like Mweene and Nkausu do not even feature for their respective clubs and Kalu now has turned the National team into a charitable Orgnisation,a resurrection sanctuary for failing players.Himself is safe because he is surrounded by an illiterate Executive with most of them with just a basic education.Right now he is in Geneva at a five star Hotel and yet do not want to pay particular attention to the body which is making him and his pathatic useless clowns enjoy those things.Now we are no different with Comoros which just play football to just fulfill the fixtures,God have mercy on all those responsible for this down spiral.We have said time and again players like Malama,he even said indirectly himself to night like sending a strong massage to say that himself he is not even near National team material.

Zambia lack of qualifying to major FIFA competitions is due to the fact that, they CONCENTRATE ALL THEIR ATTENTION ON GHANA leaving other teams to take adv of them!!
It happened in the 2014 WC!! They beat Ghana in Ndola, drew with Lesotho, drew with Sudan at Ndola and at the end of the day, DIDNT QUALIFY!! But what was surprising was that, zambia was a diff team when they played Ghana in Kumasi!!
In the recent under 20, they lost their first game against Mali, but FOUGHT WITH ALL THEIR MIGHTY AGAINST GHANA LOSING AS USUAL though they played well but come their lastatcg against south Africa, they were shambolic, lackadaisical and pathetic as usual and end up not QUALIFYING TO THE CLASSIC UNDER 20 FIFA WC!!
Now, comes cosafa, they lost their first match as a poor team and when they met GHANA, they won wasting all their energies on us but when it matters most,BEEN BEATEN BY A POOT MALAWI TEAM!!
Until,Zambians stopped their obssession and attention with ghana, considering themselves as rivals with us, THEY LL NEVER QUALIFY TO ANY FIFA WC!!
In fact, their only significant win over ghana was the 1988 Seoul Olympics qualifiers and their 2012 afcon semi final as all other meetings with Ghana in all football competitions has RESULTED IN DEFEAT OR TOTAL ELIMINATION FROM MAJOR FIFQ COMPETITIONS!!
