The Young Copper Queens completed their final training at the Wits University Football Grounds – Marks Park ahead of Friday’s COSAFA U20 Women’s Championship 2024 fixture against Botswana.
The Charles Haalubono coached Young Copper Queen’s training focussed on recovery before an engaging ball work session in Johannesburg.
Zambia heads into Friday’s lunchtime kick-off with six points from two matches (9-0 against Lesotho and a 3-0 win over South Africa) and a healthy goal difference of +12. Botswana are fourth in the five-team group after they lost 2-3 against Mozambique in their opening match.
South Africa, who are second in the group entertain Lesotho at UJ Soweto stadium at 15h00. Matches are being played on a round-robin basis and the nation that gathers the most points in their matches will be declared winner.
