Zambia will tomorrow play Ivory Coast for the first time since the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations final which Zambia won on post match penalties.
Ivory Coast coach Herve Renard said the match is important for both teams as such he had assembled a strong local side but said it will always be difficult for him to play against Zambia.
“Fortunately it’s a friendly so its fine but if one day I will have to play Zambia in a competitive match, it will be very difficulty for me,” the former Chipolopolo coach said.
“Even on Saturday when I hear the national anthem it will remind me of a lot of memories,” he added.
Renard has also made a call up to Napsa Stars Ivorian international Jean paul Simao who has had a decent run with the Zambian club scoring vital goals.
And Honour Janza is expected to unveil a new look team of local players with the players from the junior team expected to be named in his squad ZamFoot understands.
Janza has U17 impressive duo of captain Patson Daka and combative holding midfield Changwe Kalale are all in the team and are expected to play a role in tomorrow’s game.
Janza has also beefed up his squad with two foreign based players in Aaron Katebe and Jonas Sakuwaha who are both expected to start in tomorrow’s game.
The game will be played amidst protests by local clubs over the national team taking away their key players at a vital moment in the league with teams fighting to win the league while others are fighting relegation.
However, Zambianfootball.co.zm understands that the national team technical bench bent to the pressure of the clubs and released some players to allow them to adequately prepare for the league games on Sunday.
Unlike announced yesterday by FAZ, the tickets for the match were not made available as of today. However, FAZ has said the tickets will be made available tomorrow at all post office and will also be available at the stadium.
Charges: The charges are K300 for VIP and K50 for the rest of the stadium.

renard please come bak.
I won’t miss this one. Time to see the better coach tommorow ,of which I know Renard is far much better than Janza. We will win but the match won’t be beautiful on our side.
naked goal am glad u now know who janza is. judging from your comment u must be from Coat divor
This prayer Aaron Katebe his a very good defender if moulded well he can make a good partner to Sunzu, with his body and height he is very stable on the ball compered to Nyambe Mulenga whom you can not be sure if he will finish the match without been sent off or cause a penalty save for the last two game Zambia has preyed were he showed some maturity in the way he defends
