Record seven-time champions Zambia have been drawn in Group D of the 2025 HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA Cup and will face Comoros and Botswana in this year’s edition set for June 4–15 in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
Chipolopolo head into the tournament with a rich history and high expectations, having lifted the coveted COSAFA Cup more times than any other nation (7), one ahead of Zimbabwe (6), and remain a consistent force in the competition.
The tournament will mark its debut in Mangaung and will be hosted at the Free State Stadium, which was among the 2010 FIFA World Cup venues and the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium.
This year’s format allows teams the opportunity to play up to five matches, making it an ideal environment for competitive match fitness and tactical progress.
The 2025 edition of the COSAFA Cup has drawn important attention with the inclusion of 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-finalists Morocco, who will be making their debut as tournament guests. Morocco are placed in Group C alongside Madagascar and Eswatini.
