Zambia commenced training on Wednesday morning with a recovery session at Complexe Sportif Ziaida in Benslimane as they shrugged off the effects of travel ahead of Monday’s TotalEnergies U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) opener against Tanzania.
Led by coach Ian Bakala, the boys wasted no time getting down to business following their arrival in Morocco, where they will take on on 31 March at El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia.
The match will kick-off at 16h00CAT.
The training session focused on light drills, stretching and ball work which helped the team regain sharpness and adapt to the local conditions before intensifying preparations in the coming days.
Zambia is placed in Group A alongside Tanzania, Uganda, and hosts Morocco, with the top ten teams from the tournament earning automatic qualification to the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar.
