Zambia B head to Durban this afternoon 

The COSAFA bound Chipolopolo Boys will leave for Durban this afternoon ahead of the 2023 COSAFA Championship that kicks off tomorrow in South Africa. 

Zambia B will be led by Chipolopolo assistant coach Moses Sichone at the 26th edition of the regional showpiece. 

Fresh from impressing in the AFCON qualifiers against Ivory Coast, goalie Lawrence Mulenga has also made the squad and will have to fight for the spot against Nchanga Rangers Victor Chabu and Trident’s Francis Mwansa.

Other notable youngsters summoned are Harry Millanzi Junior, Abraham Siankombo, John Chishimba,  Albert Kangwanda, and Golden Mashata.

The technical bench has also considered experience in defenders Aaron Katebe,  Benedict Chepeshi,  Kelvin Kapumbu,  Kelvin Kampamba, and Fredrick Mulambia. 

Head coach Avram Grant would keep an eye on the proceedings as the Cosafa is also being used as a preparatory tournament for the July month-end African Nations Championship (CHAN)qualifier.

Zambia is in Group B and will open its account on July 6 against the Flames of Malawi before facing Comoros three days later.

The final group match will be against Seychelles on July 11 at the Princess Stadium.
