The Red Arrows gaffer and his technical staff took the Young Copper Bullets through their paces ahead of Friday’s crucial encounter against The Gambia at the Alexandria International Stadium at 19:00 hours (CAT).
The 2017 Champions came from behind through a Rickson Ng’ambi goal to claim a point against Benin who will be up against Tunisia in an early kick off on Friday.
The team will be looking to get their first win of the tournament to keep their World Cup qualification ambitions alive.
However facing the Alagie Saine led Young Scorpions won’t be a walk in the park for Zambia.
Mbewe will need Chipyoka Songa, Peter Chikola, Charles Majapa Mumba and company to come to the party to help the team to victory.
If they are to record a win, Zambia need a must improved performance than on Tuesday when they were lucky to get a point against Benin.
Derrick Bulaya was impressive against the Cheetahs and will be key for Young Chipolopolo with his energy and work rate upfront.
Gambia edged out Tunisia 1-0 in their opening Group C match to go top of the table.
