Zambia U23 international Obrey Chirwa has completed a move to Tanzania giants Young African Sports Club.
The Zambian lad arrived in Tanzania on Friday evening and immediately after signed a two year contract with Yanga SC who are believed to have paid up to USD$100,000.00 for the striker who was until now was plying his trade in Zimbabwe playing for FC Platinum.
Yanga immediately registered the player with CAF for the CAF Confederations Cup on the last day of registration and he was expected to receive his clearance today (Saturday).
Earlier today, the 22 year old striker left Tanzania for Algeria to join up with his new team mates who will be playing in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday evening against MO Bejaia.
Yanga play TP Mazembe in their second match on 28th June which will be handled by Jani Sikazwe.
The former Konkola Blades hit-man who has this season scored 5 goals in 8 games turned down a move to Danish Hobro IK last year after he was not happy with the financial terms.
He was part of the Zambia U23 squad that played at the CAF U23 Championship in Senegal last year.

Herein lies the problem. If this lad is very good, why Tanzania & not Europe . Some agent is making quick money & does not care about the future development of this promising kid. How many scouts follow games in Tanzania? Let us be realistic. Most of our leagues are below standard. Infrastructure is poor. Administration is poor. Whyou throw this kid in such horrid conditions?
The FA should look into this player/agent relationships
He seems to be putting thumb print versus a signature on the paper. Enough said!
At logic, that says it all. These boys lack in education, poor management and are at the mercy of very greedy agents.
Lol. Yangu. This young man refused to play in Denmark so he could feature in Zimbabwe and now the great league in Tanzania.
The boy can’t even sign his name? SMH. As long as Zambia continues down this path, there will be no world cup appearance in sight.
Sure de problem we is education whch maks our player 2 mak wis decission.hence agents ar takng such advantage.
Yamba poorly indeed
