ZESCO Ndola Girls thumped Elite Ladies, Indeni Roses edge Police Dove Queens, Trident Queens saw off Nkana Queens.
The Women’s Super League kicked off on Friday with an exciting match as ZESCO Ndola Girls thumped Elite Ladies 4-0 in the opener on Friday.
Fridah Mukoma scored a brace while Fridah Kabwe and Penelope Mulubwa chipped in with a goal each to seal a comfortable win.
On Saturday, Nkana Queens were welcomed back to the Super League with a 2-0 loss at the hands of Trident Queens.
Former YASA Queens and Zambia U17 forward Florence Kasonde scored a first half brace to give the North Western side a comfortable win.
In Ndola, Indeni Roses edged Police Dove Queens 2-1.
Natasha Kapombo scored from the penalty spot in the first minute to put the Roses in the lead. Esther Mushota doubled the lead in the 28th minute.
Grace Kanema pulled one back in the second half it was a little too late as Indeni held on to win 2-1.
Kamfisa Police Blue Eagles and ZISD played to a 1-1 draw.
Action continues tomorrow as YASA Queens welcome Nkwazi Queens at OYDC at 12h00 while Luyando Foundation Girls play host to newcomers Nchanga Rangers Queens.
