After a two week break, the FAZ Women’s Super Division returns this afternoon with mouth watering encounters.
In Lusaka, Luyando Foundation Girls welcome National Assembly in a Lusaka derby as they aim to move out of the relegation Zone.
Luyando Foundation Girls are currently 15th on the log with 25 points but a win at home could see them move up as high as 13th.
Assembly will also be looking to avoid defeat to move further away from the relegation Zone as they are just 3 points away from the danger zone.
In Ndola, Indeni Roses will be looking to reduce the gap between them and log leaders Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club.
Indeni welcome relegated Kabwe Celtic Queens in what looks like a straightforward fixture on paper.
In the reverse fixture, Indeni saw off the Kabwe based side 5-0.
In Kabwe, The Royal Girls, Queens Academy, welcome Kamfisa Blue Eagles in a battle to avoid the relegation Zone.
A win for Queens Academy will see them escape the relegation Zone while condemning Kamfisa Police Blue Eagles to the danger zone.
Red Arrows, boosted by the return of a number of their star players from military training, visit Chipata Girls.
With the title already out of their hands they will be looking to return to winning ways to just improve their standing on the log table.
It is not clear if the likes of Milika Limwanya, Margaret Belemu, Mary Wilombe, Mary Mulenga, Mary Mambwe, Ochumba Oseke Lubanji, Alines Kasoma, Elizabeth Nachivula and Hellen Mubanga will be immediately thrown in the deep end.
The big game of this weekend however is set for Sunday at Trade Fair Ground as ZESCO Ndola Girls welcome the defending Champions, Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club.
Buffaloes could open a three point lead at the summit tomorrow with a win over Zegalicious.
The Ndola outfit are unbeaten in their last 19 games and their last and only loss this season came against Buffaloes in Lusaka.
Buffaloes on the other hand are yet to lose a game this season winning 20 and drawing 4.
Coach Carol Kanyemba is boosted by the return of midfielder Evarine Susan Katongo who missed the Copper Queens back to back Olympics qualifiers against Morocco due to injury.
At Independence Stadium, ZISD welcome ZANACO Ladies while stubborn YASA Queens face off with Green Eagles.
