WSL: Nchanga Rangers Queens welcome Nkana Queens, Elite Ladies battle Eagles as Luyando Foundation Girls face off with Play It Forward

The ZPL Women’s Super League will enter week 12 of action this afternoon with a big Copperbelt affair taking centre stage.

Nchanga Rangers Queens welcome Nkana Queens fresh from a big 8-3 win over Luyando Foundation Girls.

The Chingola based outfit will be looking to continue with their good form and get another win.

They however face a motivated Nkana Queens side fresh from a 3-1 win over Police Dove Queens.

A win for either side will see them move up to 9th place on the log table.

On Sunday, Choma Warriors welcome Nkwazi Queens as they look to continue their newly found good form following a win and a draw in the last two weeks.

A win on Sunday could see Choma Warriors move from the base of the log table for the first time this season.

Nkwazi Queens return to action after a break last weekend and will want to get maximum points as they are fresh after the much needed rest.

Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles edged YASA Queens 2-1 away in Lusaka and are back at their base on Sunday as they welcome struggling ZANACO Ladies.

The hosts have also been boosted by the return of Gift Kalwizhi and Mercy Chipasula who were out in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic with the Zambia U17 Women’s National Team at the World Cup.

At Shamuel Ground, Luyando Foundation Girls welcome Play It Forward as they look to put the humiliating 8-3 loss at the hands of Nchanga Rangers Queens behind them.

Play It Forward are fresh from a 5-3 win over ZANACO Ladies in Midweek and want to add on that as a win could see them leave the relegation zone.

At OYDC, Green Eagles welcome Elite Ladies as they both are eager to get back to winning ways after suffering defeats at the hands of Kamfisa and Trident Queens respectively.

Elite Ladies have been boosted by the return of Saliya Mwanza and Lilian Mwenda who were away at the U17 Women’s World Cup with the Copper Princesses.

They will however still be without key player Pauline Chisomo Zulu who is out in South Africa with the Copper Queens who face the hosts in the final of the 2024 COSAFA Women’s Championship.

Action will continue on Wednesday as Trident Queens welcome YASA Queens at Sentinel Ground while defending Champions, Green Buffaloes visit Indeni Roses.
