WSL; Assembly out of relegation Zone after win, Elite end winless run, Trident edge Kamfisa as Eagles see off ZANACO

The FAZ Women’s Super Division entered week 25 of action in Midweek with six very interesting fixtures.

At NASDEC, Elite Ladies welcome stubborn YASA Queens in an epic encounter.

It was Elite Ladies who emerged victorious with an emphatic 3-0 win. A brace from Saliya Mwanza and a goal from Comfort Selemani gave the hosts the much needed maximum points.

The win puts an end to a four match winless run by Elite Ladies.

In the second match at the same venue, National Assembly cruised to a 3-1 win over ZISD.

Florence Banda scored a brace while Grace Nachula scored the other goals with Inonge Kaloustian who played one of her best games yet, scored the consolation goal for ZISD.

In Chipata, Rita Mwila Kaoma netted a hat-trick as Police Dove Queens saw off Chipata Girls in a five goal thriller.

At Sunset Stadium, Rachel Moono’s 19th goal of the season was enough to hand the visitors maximum points.

Red Arrows were held to a goalless draw by the Royal Girls, Queens Academy.
