The FAZ Women’s National League playoffs have received a twist this afternoon and will now only have one game.
Contrary to earlier reports and information gathered as to how the 2021/22 FAZ Women’s National League play-offs was supposed to be determined which was semi-final of the top 2 teams from the both Zone A and B, The ZamFoot Crew understands that it’s now only the winners from the two zones who will face each other in the final this weekend to determine national women’s champions.
According to a circular from the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) through the office of the League Manager Mr. Brian Mulenga monitored by the ZamFoot Crew, Green Buffaloes who are winners of Zone A will lockhorns with Zone B winners YASA Queens in the final.
This years final will take place on Saturday 28th May, 2022 with Kick-off set at 15:00hours at Edwin Imboela Stadium to decide the National Women Champions.
Meanwhile, the second-placed teams from both Zones will determine third and fourth positions based on the team with higher number of points with the likes of Indeni who were second from Zone A against Zone B’s Red Arrows who are second or ZISD who are placed third but are still pushing for some disciplinary cases from some of their games played during the season.
