National Assembly kicked off their 2019/2020 Lusaka FAZ Women’s league campaign with an emphatic if not ridiculous 19-0 win over newcomers Mapani Queens.
Assembly had the honors of welcoming Mapani Queens to the FAZ Women Lusaka League in a week one match played at the Showgrounds this morning.
The Parliamentarians made sure to send a strong message not only to Mapani but to other teams as well as they eased past the newbies 19-0. Assembly is in high spirits and is definitely ready for the new season. They bullied their way through the tiny Mapani players and found the back of the net nineteen (19) times.
Norin Beteni scored 6 goals while Grace Kamanga chipped in with 5 goals. Nawa Mafulo found the back of the net 4 times, Elinah Mbewe netted a hat-trick with Dorothy Lungu scoring the other goal.
Assembly moves to the summit of the log taking an early as they await more games to be played on Wednesday.
