Women’s AFCON Qualifiers: Zambia in uphill battle after loss to Zimbabwe

The Zambia Women’s national team will have an up hill battle going into the second leg of the final round of the Ghana 2018 Africa Cup qualifiers after they were beaten at home 1 – 0 by visiting Zimbabwe.

Despite Zambia enjoying a fair share of possession, the game was settled by a 18th minute goal netted by Rutendo Makore.

The two teams meet on Sunday in the second leg.

The winner over the two legs will qualify to the finals to be played in Ghana from Nov 17, 2018 – Dec 1, 2018.
