Will Asanovic limit Mwepu’s involvement in Antalya?

Skipper Enock Mwepu will lead the Chipolopolo Boys this afternoon as they go head to head with Congo Brazzaville in an international friendly match at the Mardan Sports Complex in Antalya Turkey.

The Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder is expected to pull the strings in the middle of the park.

Having just returned from an injury, Asanovic might decide to limit Mwepu’s involvement over the games.

Without a recognized defensive midfielder, Asanovic could partner Mwepu with Swedish based midfield general Emmanuel Banda who has previously played in the defensive midfield role.

Youngster Miguel Changa Chaiwa of Athletico Lusaka is another option in the defensive midfield role having played there in the friendly match against Iraq just recently.

Asanovic seems to prefer a midfield trio and could add Kabwe Warriors diminutive midfielder Prince Mumba to the mix.

Arsenal Tula in-form midfielder Klings Kangwa is another option together with Simba SC star midfielder Clatous Chota Chama.

Zambia and the Red Devils of Congo Brazzaville will square off at 15:00hrs at the Mardan Sports Complex.

The match is live on ZNBC TV 3
