The Zambia under-20 Men’s National Team has arrived in Abuja ahead of Friday’s international friendly match with Nigeria as part of preparations for the Egypt 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Coach Chisi Mbewe’s squad arrived in Abuja at 11:40 hours aboard Ethiopian Airlines.
The Young Chipolopolo will play the Flying Eagles on Friday at the MKO Abiola National Stadium.
Zambia will proceed to Dakar for another friendly match to be played on February 7th against Senegal.
The team will then head to Egypt for a camp preceding the tournament.
Zambia is in Group C alongside Tunisia, Gambia and Benin.
Top four teams at the AFCON will qualify to the FIFA World Cup that will be held in Indonesia from May 20 to June 11.
