The MTN Super League will enter week nine of action on Saturday with seven matches taking centre stage across the country.
The biggest match of the weekend however will only come alive on Sunday as Power Dynamos welcome rejuvenated Zanaco.
Saturday’s action will kick off with a lunchtime fixture at Konkola Stadium as Mufulira Wanderers welcome out of form Forest Rangers.
Forest Rangers will be hoping to win their second game in eight matches while Wanderers are looking for their third win in five games.
If previous meetings are anything to go by, Wanderers are the clear favorite having win three of the seven losing just once.
However their last win against Fole Malembe came back in 2016.
In the second match of the double header, Konkola Blades welcome the log leaders, Red Arrows.
The Airmen are fresh from a big 4-0 wi over Nkwazi while Blades are lacking in confidence after Brian Mwila’s hat-trick saw them succumb to a 3-0 loss away to ZANACO.
As if that is not enough, Sharp Lazor last beat Red Arrows back in 2014.
At Woodlands Stadium, NAPSA Stars welcome tricky FC MUZA.
The Elegant Dynamites are unbeaten in their last 15 league games and will be looking to continue on that trajectory.
MUZA also have a chance to leapfrog Arrows into top spot should the Airmen fail to carry the day in Chingola.
However they have only beaten the Pensioners once in their four meetings, the win that came back in 2019.
In Kabwe, Nkana will be searching for their first win of the season as they visit President Stadium.
Nkana are winless so far this season with only three points accumulated from eight games.
Prison Leopards also have their own problems as they have been dumped by two coaches in a space of 14 days, Albert Kachinga who is now with Trident FC and Chris Kaunda who has reported resigned 10 days into his new appointment.
Despite being desperate for a win, they last beat the Correct Boys back in 2021 and are winless in their last four meetings.
In Choma, Alex Namazaba’s future remains on the line as he continues to fight for dear life.
The Kawale Boys welcome Trident FC who have been boosted by the return of attacking midfielder David Sakala.
Eagles have one win their last five games but face a team with an even worse statistic, The Conquerors who are yet to record a win in the top flight.
It will be an interesting affair at the Choma Independence Stadium.
At Edwin Imboela Stadium, Nkwazi will play host to Mutondo Stars.
Nkwazi are winless in six games while Mutondo have only lost once in their last five matches.
Mutondo will be looking to continue their fine form and push to break into the top four.
In Ndola, ZESCO United will be looking to continue their unbeaten run when they welcome Kabwe Warriors.
Numba Mumamba returns to face his former side and will aiming to get one past the nine time Champions.
It will be tightly contested match as the Magnificent People’s team are also unbeaten in seven games.
Action will continue on Sunday as Green Buffaloes host Kansanshi Dynamos while Power and ZANACO go head to head.
