Wedson Nyirenda confirms departure from Lusaka Dynamos

Former Chipolopolo Boys head coach Wedson Nyirenda has confirmed his departure from Lusaka Dynamos.

Nyirenda confirmed the development in a tweet on his account monitored by the ZamFoot Crew. Nyirenda was not on the bench as Lusaka Dynamos suffered a 4-0 bashing at the hands of ZESCO United in the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield.

“I am pleased to officially announce I left Lusaka Dynamos FC. I would like to thank the sponsor and club at large. I will always love you. To players, I say thank you for your time together. You are champs.

I am now a free agent waiting for who else wants to lift titles or trophies.”

Nyirenda was appointed Elite Lusaka Dynamos head coach in July last year and led the team to their first ABSA Cup title.

Wedson Nyirenda, 54, has won a plethora of titles with Zanaco, Zesco, and Lusaka Dynamos, coupled with titles he won while working in Mozambique and South Africa.

Notably, the league titles he won with ZESCO United in 2007 and 2008, Zanaco FC in 2009, and the 2015 mocambola league title with clube ferroviario de Maputo FC in Mozambique.
