Chipolopolo boys head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic says his side will give their opponents in today’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) encounter, Tanzania enough respect but not too much.
Speaking to the media during a pre-match press conference from Limbe Omnisports Stadium, Cameroon the Chipolopolo gaffer was quick to give praise to the rise of Tanzanian football.
“We are one of the sixteen teams here on the tournament, there are sixteen dreams one will come through, we are looking forward not beyond tomorrow’s match we give absolutely respect but not all respect to the team of Tanzania, Tanzanian football is in rising considering the performance of Simba FC in CAF Champions League and Namungo FC in CAF Confederation Cup, very competitive league their players are coming from,” He said.
“We intend to pass through the group stages because after group stages everything is possible but instead of us speaking beyond because we will be disrespectful to the team of Tanzania and this might shift our concentration on our focus on tomorrow’s fixture.”
Copper bullets open its third-time CHAN tournament appearance match against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania this evening. Kick-off for the match is set at 18:00hrs at Limbe stadium.
Zambia will then battle it out with Guinea four days later on Saturday, 23rd January and they will conclude the group stages with Namibia on 27th January. The African Nations will run up to 7th February 2021.
