Sensational Zanaco beat the Kawale Boys, Green Eagles 2-0 to record their first win of the season in a week two fixture at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.
Capitalizing on the Chances that the Bankers Created is what worked for the team according to the Head Coach Numba Mumamba who spoke to the ZamFoot Crew after the match.
“We used the experience we were playing a very determined Green Eagles it was not an easy game but we utilized the chances that came our way and that made the difference in the game,” Numba said.
“We have to maintain the status more especially that we were playing at home, We just have to fight so that we don’t drop points especially playing against Green eagles,” he added.
Zanaco’s next match is away to Bolton City in Mauritius in the CAF Confederation Cup and Numba Mumamba is optimistic that this win will be used as a launchpad as they begin their CAF Confederation campaign.
“This is a motivation on our part especially that we came from a loss to Zesco United in week one but this win will motivate and it will encourage the team,” he said.
Zanaco is fourth on the log with three points while the Choma giants occupy the eleventh position with only a point to their name after playing two games.
