Football Association of Zambia General Secretary George Kasengele has told the Parliamentary Committee on Sport that the Association’s relationship with Chipolopolo coach Honour Janza is cordial.
Kasengele whose Association has stated that Janza does not meet the minimum qualification to coach the national team said Janza still needed to be sent to School.
“Janza is still an employee of FAZ. He is the technical director and we appointed him to coach the national team in a caretaker capacity following the departure of Patrice Beaumulle.
“Currently Janza has UEFA B licence and he is the second most qualified Zambian coach after Kalusha Bwalya, who holds a UEFA A licence. We need to send him [Janza] to school,” Kasengele said.
He said it has been difficult for most Zambian coaches to obtain UEFA A licences because one needs to be in Europe for a long time.
Kasengele said most Zambian clubs are not willing to release their coaches for a long period.

Bufi.
You have underperformed ba FAZ.
The reason for clubs failure to release their coaches for long is easy. Look at my club Kabwe Warriors. Chintu spent all his time deputizing at National Team and our team went down.
FAZ, please learn to train your coaches. You should select 2 and let them alternate. While one is away in Brazil for training the friend is behind coaching. When the one in Brazil returns send the colleague to Germany. and repeat the process.
Let all national team coaches train in both Germany and Brazil, the results will be apparent for al to see the moment you do this. this was done sometime back and results started showing.
If I may ask how much would it take the government and concerned clubs to take a deliberate 5 year and 10 year policy to train all Premier league coaches in Brazil and Germany? Learn to invest in the future.
Yes send him for further studies so that he can comeback and disgrace us even more…Njaza is not a coach but an administrator(technical director) as u call it..
Thats why they want to send him to school.
I agree with FAZ on this one but its not only him but all the premier league team coaches. Imagine, they say that Janza is the most qualified coach in Zambia but look at his performance. And if he is the most qualified, were does it leave the other coaches, in terms of their qualifications. By the way, this so called under-qualified coach is the one training our coaches in Zambia. What can we get out of this arrangement as a country? Does it suppress anybody that we are always booted out in the first round in both club and national team compititions
I also agree send him to school its good for our game and please send more
FAZ. If you cant send the coaches to school, then bring the schools to Zambia. FAZ can in their capacity contract a qualified Coach trainer and offer the needed courses in Zambia. Why not work with government to bring in certified trainers trainer for a limited time during the season breaks to set up shop in Zambia? I know its not simple, but whats preventing FAZ from looking into such a solution.
And if the government cannot fund it. Ask the clubs to fund the program by charging tuition fees for attending coaches. To ensure proper training, limit it to the premier league coaches only at first.
I am not talking about these off season one week seminars. I am talking about a robust coaching program that offers real certification. One has to look at the feasibility of such a program.
1. Look at what is required for a UEFA A/B license
– Time required
– Prerequisite qualifications
– Instructor level/availability
2. Figure out logistics
– Season break (would that be enough time or will it occur over multiple seasons)
– Instructor (lodging, per diem, facility availability…resources)
3. ….etc etc
Heck. Generlisimo you have my email. Email me and we can discuss a strategy for this.
Kalu the most qualified coach in zambia is the most useless. Janza the second most qualified coach is the second most useless coach.
Ba@ James ba mudala what are trying to say or is it just frustilations of FAZ that you are not able to point out the issue.
Kasengele dont be silly iwe. You fought with janza that time thatd y u hate him. Naiwe janza fwaya fye kumbi inchito naiwe. Not aba ba malooku
GOVERMENT SAYS THERES NO MONEY TO HIRE EXPATRIATE COACH as it is its like the ungifted Honour Janza will continue taking us nowhere
Even you Kasengele- you need to go to school. In your case it is even more urgent.
Even if Janza takes 10 years in a coaching school, he will never make a good coach because his character & body language says so.
Remember late Godfrey ‘Ucar’ Chitalu? he did not go far in coaching studies but was a dawm good coach with Alex Chola. He was pracrical.
Janza’s chose of players is a clear indicator of his inability to deliver, surely how do you bring idle players to the Nation team? To day is talking about Sinkala for COSAFA when he knows the player has been idle since E/Quine
Time wasting.
