Lumwana Radiants head coach Tenant Chembo says his team will meet its targets despite a 4 nil baptism at the hands of sensational Zanaco in a week 11 MTN/FAZ Super League encounter played at Nkoloma Stadium on Sunday.
When asked if the team was under any pressure Chembo was quick to mention that pressure will always be there in football and they just have to deal with that fact.
“Pressure will always be there, we just have to absorb it, I have just come to know the team, to know their players. It’s not a bad team we just have to plan well going forward,” Chembo told the ZamFoot Crew.
“We shall meet our targets, in football life people come, people go, reinforcements will always be there.”
Chembo believes his team gave the Bankers too much respect hence the loss.
“We gave them too much respect in the first half hence conceding two goals because in the small box you have to be aggressive in terms of defending, we thought we could come back in the second half but unfortunately we conceded the third goal, but all in all we have to work hard.”
Moses Phiri put Zanaco in the lead in the 21st minute from a Chisamba Lungu corner kick and then completed his brace from a John Mwewa cross in the dying minutes of the first half. Second-half substitute Abraham Siankombo scored the third goal in the 62nd and completed his brace in the 89nth minute to hand Zanaco a 4 nil win.
