Kabwe Warriors boss Numba Mumamba is not getting carried away with his team’s recent fine performances despite moving up to second tied on 18 points with leaders Red Arrows.
The former ZANACO gaffer was speaking after guiding his side to an impressive 2-1 win over ZESCO United thanks to a brace from Mwamba Mutombo.
Numba believes the move on the log will motivate the players because it has been long since the Magnificent People’s team were in such a good position.
He is however not content with the finishing as he believes his side has missed way too many chances in the last three games.
“I think for us we are taking each game as it comes. We just have to get down to work and make sure we prepare our team for the next challenge,” he said.
“It’s a motivation to the team, especially the players. I think it’s been a long time since the Warriors were on top. I think this will motivate the team going into the next game.”
“We haven’t been clinical in the last three games that we have played. If we were clinical we would have scored a lot of goals. But this is what we have noticed and we need to work on it so that we can improve in the other coming games,” he added.
Next up for Numba and his Kabwe Warriors side is Masauso Tembo’s Green Buffaloes and the former Chipolopolo winger is expecting a tough match.
“Yes, we play another crucial game against Green Buffaloes. Buffaloes are playing excellent football. I have watched them twice, it won’t be an easy game, we just have to work hard to get the result that we need. “
