We have nothing to lose, Zanaco are the favorites – Bolton captain

Zanaco Football Club will take on Bolton City Youth Club of Mauritius on Saturday, in the second leg of the CAF Confederations Cup first round at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

Speaking during the press conference ahead of tomorrow’s game, Bolton City Captain Canerse James said he anticipated a tough encounter against the bankers at their backyard.

“Tomorrow’s game will be tough because zanaco is a stronger team than us, they have very skillful players and they play a very attacking game. In front of their supporters, it will very difficult for us but we will try to play a very beautiful game for our fans in Mauritius and the Zambian fans,” he said.

Bolton City lost the first leg at home by a 2-1 scoreline and will need nothing but a win to qualify.

“We are a very young team and those who do not know, we just qualified from the lower league to the Mauritius top league and this is actually the first time we are participating in a CAF competition. We just beat Galaxy football club of Botswana which is also a good team, for us, we are not under pressure because we don’t have anything to lose. Zanaco is the favorite but we will try to have our chances and see if we can create history for Mauritius,” Canerse told the ZamFoot Crew.

The bankers will host Bolton at 15:00hrs at Heroes Stadium and Supersport will televise the game live.
