Zesco United coach Numba Mumanga has declared his boys ready for Sunday’s CAF Confederations Cup tie Royal AM.
Ahead of the 4pm kickoff at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium, the two times Zambian Super League Champions was in bullish mood.
“We have come here to win. This is not a match we are taking lightly. We have come to finish our mission here,” Numba said.
“We know that our opponents are fairly a good side, but we equally have a team that can give us the result,” he added
Despite having missed out on the title to Red Arrows, Zesco remain the country’s most experienced side in Africa.
In 2016, the Ndola side reached the CAF Champions League semi final.
It will be that experience that might stand in good faith for Zega.
“We have acclimatized well and adapted to the weather conditions. The team is ready and looking forward to the game.
“We have done everything we could to make sure that we prepare the team mentally and physically so that they could give us the result that we need here.
“I think we need to emulate the success of our colleagues and work hard as we play Royal tomorrow because we have a team that can give us a victory tomorrow. Everyone is in good shape.
Zesco United will host Royal AM in Ndola in the return leg next week.
