NAPSA Stars will go in search of three points on Wednesday afternoon as they take on kabwe Warriors in a rescheduled week eight MTN/FAZ Super League encounter scheduled for Woodlands Stadium.
The Pensioners have only managed to pick up 2 points from a possible 9 but the captain of the side Dickson Chapa says the morale is still high in the camp and has revealed that the team is targeting three points against the Magnificent People’s team
“I think tomorrow’s game is very much important to us as a team we need maximum points at all cost. We are desperate for maximum points if you can see the way we have played like the previous games we have drawn two games and lost one against Lumwana so we are not consistent as a team but I think we are working on that and we will try to remind each other as players and also our coaches have tried to encourage us,” he said.
“It’s just a phase that we are passing through but every game is a different ball game, so tomorrow’s game we will fight from the start-up to the final whistle,” he added.
Over the weekend, Youngster Jimmy ‘Zobrigo’ Mukeya put in a match of the match performance against Indeni and Chapa was quick to note that the young players who graduated from the youth team have boosted the squad.
“The morale in Camp is high the guys are okay although we have a bit of some injury I think that does not affect us that much cause we also have some newcomers the young boys who just graduated from the youth team they have boosted the team with their energy. I think the morale is still high and we are looking forward to a good game tomorrow and a win.”
A win for Napsa Stars will see them move out of the relegation zone and up to tenth place while Kabwe Warriors will see themselves up to sixth place with a win.
Kick-off for the match at Woodlands Stadium is set for 15:00hrs.
