Chipolopolo Boys coach Wedson Nyirenda has said Group B of the CHAN 2018 Tournament in Morocco is ‘very competitive group.’
And meanwhile the Chipolopolo Boys trained in the green KoPa shorts as they gave the fans a glimpse of the new Jersey.
The group has West African power house Ivory Coast while Zambia and Uganda 80-90 percent will be featuring players from the African and World Cup qualifiers.
“It will be a very competitive group, whoever goes to sleep goes home. We are not going to take anything to chance. We just have to work hard and get qualification to the next round,” Wada Wada said after the Chipolopolo Boys had a feel of the Grand Stade of Marrakech on Friday night.
Save for goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene, Stopilla Sunzu, Enock Mwepu, Patson Daka and Brian Mwila , Wada Wada has a most of his backbone from the side recorded a double over Algeria and narrowly lost to Nigeria in the World Cup qualifiers.
“Uganda is not a small team, they are featuring most of the players that featured in Afcon qualifiers, so it is not going to be an easy game. It will not be easy against Ivory Coast and Namibia,”
“Our aim is to pick three points so that we sit comfortably and start thinking ahead for the next game. I am very positive we shall get a very positive result.”
Zambia will face Uganda in the opening group tie at 21h30 CAT on Sunday.

It’s good to have a humble approach to the game than being overconfident. That’s maturity
