Vipers SC coach Ivan Minnaert was left disappointed after his side were dumped out of the CAF Champions League on Friday in Ndola.
The Ugandans faced an uphill battle in the second leg of the second round of the CAF Champions League.
Trailing 2-1 from the first leg against a hostile crowd plus the fixture being played on the country’s 61st Independence day, the odds were against St Mary’s outfit.
After watching his side settle for a 1-1 draw, Minnaert was gracious missed out on the $550,000 pay cheque in the group stage.
“We are disappointed, we tried and it was not working that’s what has happened in the two games,” Minnaert added.
“We have lost and I can’t talk too much,” Minnaert said.
