The stage is set for a high-stakes showdown as Uganda U20 Women’s National Team travel to Ndola to face Zambia U20 Women’s National team in the second leg of the third-round FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026 qualifiers. Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 hours at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
The first leg in Kampala ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving the tie delicately poised. Speaking ahead of the return fixture, Uganda head coach Sheryl Botes acknowledged Zambia’s quality on paper but insisted her team is determined to seize victory.
“We will be up against a formidable side but no team goes into the match to lose, we want to win at all costs,” Botes said.
Uganda captain Agness Nabukenya, who scored in the first leg, echoed her coach’s determination, emphasizing belief and clinical finishing as the key to success in Ndola.
“We know it is not easy to play against Zambia but in football anything is possible. I can score goals or anyone in the team can do it,” Nabukenya said.
The winner over the two legs will advance to the final qualifying round, where they will face either Ghana or South Africa.
Tickets for the match are already on sale at all ShopRite outlets, with South, North, and East Wing tickets priced at K20, West Wing tickets at K50, and VIP tickets at K100.
