The Zambia U-23 National team will face the 2019 Champions, Egypt in the final round of the Morocco 2023 U23 AFCON Qualifiers.
This is after the Young Pharaohs advanced to the third qualifying round of U23 African Cup of Nations qualifiers after beating Eswatini.
The defending Champions set up a meeting with the Young Copper Bullets in the final qualifying round of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations after beating Eswatini 1-0 on Sunday in Alexandria stadium.
Striker Osama Faisal met a low cross from Emad Mayhoub to tap home from close range in the 70th minute which turned out to be the decider of this tie.
The young Pharaohs played out to a scoreless draw in the away leg last week and progressed to the final round with a 1-0 aggregate win.
Zambia on the other hand progressed to the final round with a 2-1 aggregate scoreline after a 1-0 win at Heroes Stadium on Saturday thanks to an Andrew Phiri strike.
Egypt and Zambia will face each other in March 2023 for a place at the tournament.
The U23 Africa Cup of Nations will take place in July 2023 in Morocco with the first three teams qualifying automatically to the 2024 Olympic Games.
