Zambia Under-20 Women’s National Team Coach Charles Haalubono has declared his lasses ready for tomorrow’s 2020 Costa Rica/Panama FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier preliminary round first leg encounter against South Africa slated for Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium.
Speaking to the ZamFoot Crew in a pre-match interview, Haalubono said that despite having a bit of pressure the team is ready for the game.
“There is a bit of pressure as you know when you are playing pressure is always there but we are ready,” Haalubono said.
He also said that the team is injury-free as all those players who had minor injury concerns are back in training and are ready to feature in tomorrow`s game.
The Junior Copper Queens gaffer yesterday named his final 20 member squad and among them is a blend of last year`s COSAFA Silver Medalists and some new call-ups in the team whom he says are there to help the team’s progression in the qualifiers and he is confident they will excel.
“We brought in new players to assist the team to go a step further, as you know sometimes you may not have the fitness required for that particular moment with a player so the best is to replace that player,” he said.
Coach Haalubono further went on to thank the FA for the support they have given towards the development of women’s football.
“We really appreciate the commendable job and support from the FA towards women football, personally I really appreciate,” said the soft-spoken Haalubono.
The Junior Copper Queens and Batsetsana will lock horns with each other tomorrow at Nkoloma Stadium with kick-off at 15:00hrs(CAT).
Tickets for this match are already on sale via Computicket in all Shoprite outlets across the country. Open Wing is pegged at K10 while Grand Stand is at K50.
