The Zambia U-20 National team suffered their second defeat on their West African tour ahead of the U-20 AFCON.
The 2017 Champions were handed a 1-0 defeat by their young Teranga Lions on Tuesday evening in a match played at the Stade Lat Dior.
Coach Chisi Mbewe made a whole host of changes to the team that lost 4-2 to the Flying Eagles of Nigeria.
Levison Banda, Mathews Banda, Lackson Tembo, Onesimus Chipango, Henry Mbuti, Julius Kumwenda,Joseph Banda, Ian Sindaye and Emmanuel Mukosha were all given a chance to start.
Senegal started the match like a house on fire and took the lead in the opening minute through Sembe Diallo.
Diallo was a threat through out of the match while Emmanuel Mukosha, Joseph Banda and Kingston Mutandwa came close for the Young Copper Bullets.
The Young Chipolopolo were using the two matches as part of their preparations for the TotalEnergies U-20 AFCON 2023 to be held in Egypt starting on February 19 to March 11.
Zambia will now head to Egypt for an international camp preceding the commencement of the AFCON as part of helping the team acclimatize.
Zambia is in Group C alongside Tunisia, Benin and Gambia while hosts Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique in Group A.
Top four teams at the AFCON will qualify to the FIFA World Cup to be hosted by Indonesia.
