Zambia’s export to Tanzania, Clatous Chota Chama who is popularly known as Triple C has been named in the CAF Champions League Team of the Week.
The Chipolopolo midfielder was in impressive form over the weekend for Simba.
‘Mwamba Wa Lusaka’ as he is called in Tanzania set up the first goal before scoring the third to help Simba to a 3 nil win over Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs on the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-final.
Despite the victory, Simba bowed out of the competition via a 4-3 aggregate.
Lazarous Kambole (Chiefs) and Larry Bwalya (Simba) were unused substitutes.
Three North African clubs made it to the semi finals with one from South Africa.
Egyptian giants Al Ahly who dumped South African side Mamemlodi Sundowns will play Tunisian side Esperance in the semi final.
In the other semi final, Moroccan side Wydad will face South African glamour side Kaizer Chiefs.
In the CAF Confederations Cup, three North Africans clubs are in the semi finals.
Coton Sport of Cameroon will face Algerian side JS Kabylie while Egyptian side Pyramids will play Raja Casablanca of Morocco in the other semi final.
