MTN Super League side ZESCO United have won the race to sign striker Kennedy Musonda, according to sources in a transfer twist.
Zega Mambo have beaten Power Dynamos to the signing of Musonda who had earlier been approached by the Zambian champions.
Musonda will join ZESCO following his stint in Israel. Musonda had earlier reached a two year agreement with the reigning MTN Super League Champions.
Musonda enjoyed a prolific spell with Aba Yellow, where his goals helped Power Dynamos win the 2022/23 MTN Super League title before earning a move to Tanzanian giants Young Africans (Yanga). He later joined Israeli side Hapoel Ramat Gan.
The 31-year-old has also established himself as an important member of the Chipolopolo squad, scoring crucial goals during Zambia’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign and continuing to feature for the national team.
His return is expected to significantly strengthen ZESCO United’s attacking options as they hope to have a better season than their 2025/2026 campaign.
