The Zambia Senior Women’s National Team has safely arrived in Algiers, Algeria, for a week-long training camp ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The Copper Queens touched down at Houari Boumediene International Airport in the Algerian capital at exactly 13h15 (14h15 Zambian time) today.
The Zambian delegation headed by FAZ National Women’s Representative Col. Priscilla Katoba departed Lusaka at 21h25 on Tuesday and arrived safely after a flight via Doha, Qatar.
The team will immediately shift focus to preparations for the continental showpiece, with head coach Nora Häuptle expected to join the squad in Algiers.
Zambia will face Algeria in two international friendly matches on July 19 and 22 before travelling to Morocco for the start of the 2026 WAFCON.
