Newly formed lower-tier side Kebby Stars was on the receiving end of football jerseys from TIMAJA Drilling Company valued at K12, 000 last week.
TIMAJA Drilling also donated a further K900 to help the club with day to day operational costs of the club.
Speaking during the handover at the clubs’ Secretariat in Mindolo- Misenshi, TIMAJA drilling Company chief executive officer Timoteo Kerasko was elated with his company’s involvement in the development of football.
“I’m equally pleased and excited to be part of the development of this nature and we will look to this as the beginning of something positive for developing our very talented youths,” he said.
Kebby Stars club President Bornwell Chibwe thanked TIMAJA Drilling company and stated that it was not easy for any company to make donations of this nature given the prevailing global pandemic and thanked the C.E.O for his promptness in responding to the call irrespective of the hardships that COVID19 has brought.
Meanwhile TIMAJA DRILLING company Human resource Manager Jean Chime said: It’s very inspiring to see young people do something better with their lives and our gesture is meant to recognize and appreciate their contribution to the community.”
Company Operations Manager Kennedy Mpolwa also stated that the donation is part of the Companys’s cooperate-Social responsibilities and this donation is an expression of how much the company values recreation.
