ZANACO assistant coach Henry Banda believes the team’s 3-0 win over Konkola Blades will boost the confidence of their players going forward in the season.
The Bankers beat the Chilabombwe outfit in an early kick off thanks to a hat-trick by Brian Mwila.
Banda admitted that they were worried about scoring goals and are happy that they managed to score three against Blades.
“It’s a good result for us. It’s a morale booster to the team, looking at where we are coming from. We were worried about scoring goals and today we scored three which is good for the team and it will boost the confidence of the team,” Banda said.
“Playing a team against Konkola is all about mindset, psyching the players not to underrate the opponent and showing on the pitch.”
Banda was also quick to heap praise on the hat-trick hero, Brian Mwila and believes if he continues to work hard he will go far.
“It’s very good for him. We have been crying for our strikers to score and he has scored three goals today, which is good for him. If he just continues working extra hard the sky’s the limit,” he said.
“We are on the right track. The coordination is there and that’s why we have scored three goals today.”
