The feeling is Indescribable – Kennedy Musonda on being part of the AFCON Squad

Tanzania based forward Kennedy Musonda says the feeling of being part of the Chipolopolo squad is Indescribable and very humbling.

Musonda is part of coach Avram Grant’s 27 member squad that is currently in Saudi Arabia preparing for the 34 edition of the continental showpiece.

Musonda feels Zambia have a very good squad and there was a lot of competition ahead of the coach trimming the team.

“It’s an honour, It’s something that you just dream of when you are a kid and to finally make it, it’s something I can not begin to explain, it’s an humbling feeling,” Musonda said.

“The local camp was very good. So much quality in the team. It was nerve wracking when they were about to announce because you would not pick out who was going to go and not going.”

“It will be good to get to know each other and become one force, one team, gel and be something that is deadly,” he added.

The Yanga SC forward says he is ready for any opportunity he will get in the team.

“Well , I think I am ready for every opportunity. Like I said we have a very good squad, As for playing we leave everything in the coaches hands since he is the one who is going to analyse who can play better at what time as for me am ready,” he said.

“It’s about who has a bigger heart and more desire and not the names. The most important thing is our desire, our passion and working together as a team.”

“Definitely, I think the fans should rally behind us and they have been doing an amazing job throughout the qualifiers,” he added.

The Chipolopolo will open its AFCON account on January 17 against Congo DR before facing Tanzania four days later with the final group match against the Atlas Lions of Morocco on January 24.
