The Copper Queens out to complete WAFCON Qualification 

The Zambia Women National Team, The Copper Queens will finish off the job against the brave Gladiators of Namibia on Sunday afternoon and punch a ticket to Morocco 2026 Women’s African Cup of Nations. 

The Copper Queens host the Brave Gladiators this afternoon at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola with the kick off set at 15h00. 

Coach Nora Häuptle and her technical staff had their final training session at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they looked to fine tune their squad. 

Zambia lead 4-2 from the first leg and will be looking to seal their place at the continental showpiece before their home fans in Ndola.

Hazel Natasha Nali is expected to continue between the sticks with Lushomo Mweemba and Mapalo Maluba partnering in the heart of defense. 

Rachel Nachula and Margaret Belemu started in South Africa but Martha Tembo came on for the last few minutes and is again available for selection this afternoon and hence coach Nora Häuptle could look to switch things up. 

In Midfield, Mary Wilombe, Evarine Susan Katongo, And Grace Chanda were selected in the first leg. Natasha ‘Little Tasha’ Nanyangwe, Maweta Chilenga, and Ireen Lungu are all available for selection. 

Upfront Rachel Kundananji who scored a hat-trick in the first leg will again lead the attack alongside electric Eneless Phiri. 

Regina Chanda, Penelope Mulubwa and Prisca Chilufya will battle for a place to join Kundananji and Phiri upfront. 

The winner over two legs joins the 16-team tournament that will be held in Morocco in March/April next year.

Tickets are selling across Shoprite outlets via Computicket and are pegged at K50 (North, South and East), K150 (West) and K250 (VIP).
