Ten man Zesco United moved into second position on the MTN FAZ Super League standings with a 2-0 victory against Lusaka Dynamos in a rescheduled week 13 match played at Edwin Imboela Stadium on Wednesday.
Clatous Chama was given a red card for unsporting behaviour in an off the ball incident with Jubel Sakala with six minutes remaining on the clock.
Jackson Mwanza fired the visitors in front on 35 minutes and Clatous Chama increased the advantage from a free-kick three minutes after the break.
The victory took the league champions to second position with 28 points on goal difference from Nkana and six points adrift of leaders Zanaco who have played two games more.
The defeat leaves Lusaka Dynamos firmly in the relegation with 14 points from 16 matches.
Only Mufulira Blackpool at the bottom of the standings with 6 points have a poor record than Lusaka Dynamos in the current campaign.
Lusaka Dynamos next match on Saturday is against Green Eagles in the early kick-off of a double header scheduled for Sunset Stadium.
Zesco United’s match against Nakambala Leopards has been postponed to a later date as the former will focus their attention on the champions league.
