Zanaco reclaimed second position and cut Zesco United lead at the top of the log to seven points when they beat visiting Konkola Blades 2 – 0 despite playing with a man down the entire second half.
The Bankers started the match in third position on the log behind second placed Power Dynamos and they did not worst time to claim the lead in the 27th minute through Ernest Mbewe.
Fackson Kapumbu was given a straight red card in the 36th minute after he kicked a Blades attacker in the face.
Zanaco did not sit back but pressured the visitors and they extended their lead through substitute Moses Phiri whose cracking shot came off the cross-bar leaving the goalie no chance.
In the early kickoff, Lusaka Dynamos continued their poor showing in the second half of the season as they again gave away a 1 – 0 lead to lose 2 – 1 to Red Arrows.
Conlyde Luchanga opened the scores in the game with his eight goal of the season but Arrows came back with goals from Danny Sibanda and Lubinda Mundia the eventual man of the match.
Lusaka Dynamos have now not won in six outtings drawing only once.
