Team of the week: Sikombe and Masauso Tembo named ZamFoot player and coach of the week

The MTN/FAZ Super League enters week eleven this afternoon but as is tradition we take a look at what happened in week ten.

It was a match day full of great action and the ZamFoot Crew were on hand to capture the moments, tell the stories, and above all pick their best team of the week.

Week 10 saw a horrible for defenders as most midfielders and strikers came to the party and are easily the most competitive team of the week so far this season.

THE FULL TEAM OF THE WEEK

GK: Racha Kola, The Sensational Zanaco goal minder continues in goal having also made it to week nine. He was not as brilliant this week but made some good saves and kept a clean sheet overall when some conceded a number and some made howlers.

RCB: Isaac Shamujompa, The former Power Dynamos man was again impressive for Team Kopala as they came from a goal down to beat Kitwe United 2-1. He also took responsibility and slotted home from the penalty spot.

CB: Mangege Makabaniso, The defender was impressive as he kept one of the most lethal strikers in the league in James Chamanga quiet for ninety minutes as Lusaka Dynamos thrashed Red Arrows 4-1.

LCB: Mweene Mumbi, Green Buffaloes suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of Napsa Stars but young Mweene Mumbi was very impressive in defense for the Soldiers and makes his first team of the week this season.

DMF: Benson Sakala, The Powerful Power Dynamos skipper has made it a habit to put in good shifts and against Nkwazi it was no different as he dominated the middle of the park and scored aLSO scored a goal.

CM: John Ching’andu, The midfielder had a good game for Team ya Ziko who edged Indeni in a five-goal thriller. Ching’andu netted a Beautiful header and had an assist.

CM: Collins Sikombe, The most In-form player by far at the moment. The former Napsa Stars midfield ace scored two goals as Lusaka Dynamos humiliated the Airmen 4-1.

LWF: Ali Sadiki, The Zimbabwean midfielder was on song last weekend as he scored twice and put in a good shift for Kabwe Warriors who recorded a 3-2 away win in Solwezi against Lumwana Radiants.

RWF: Ackim Mumba, The former Red Arrows man had a game and half as Nkana made easy work of Aggrey Chiyangi’s Green Eagles beating them 3-1. He was also awarded as the official man of the match, He also received a lot of praise from Nkana fans something very difficult to do.

AMF: Harrison Chisala, Lewa as he is nicknamed was another impressive man in the Nkana midfield as they beat Green Eagles 3-1. Lewa was just amazing in the middle and went on to score a goal and set up another one.

CF: Emmanuel Mayuka, The former Southampton striker seems to have found his form. He scored the only goal of the game as Napsa Stars beat Green Buffaloes 1-0. His hold-up play was brilliant and overall an impressive performance from the 2012 AFCON winner.

Coach of the week: Masauso Tembo, The coach of the week was an easy one to settle as the Power Dynamos assistant guided his team to their first win at Edwin Imboela in over ten years and first against Nkwazi whether home or away since 2016.

Player of the Week: Collins Sikombe, Sikombe was the man last weekend and deservedly so he gets the nod as our player of the week.

Honorable Mentions:

Landu Miete, The Congolese forward was impressive for Prison Leopards against Young Green Eagles and scored a goal.

Alex Ngonga, The Power Dynamos striker had a brilliant game and set up two goals for Abayellow in their big win over Nkwazi.

Fred Tshimenga, The Nkana man was also very good on the day other he did not last long him the match but his impact was very good with a goal and an assist.

Ocean Mushure, The Zimbabwean defender scored a goal and a fairly good game in Lusaka Dynamos’ demolition of Red Arrows.

Chaniza Zulu, The Power Dynamos midfielder was also very impressive and scored a goal though he was unfortunate to get injured towards the end of the match.

Abbas Abeofah, The Ghanian was also impressive for Lumwana Radiants in their 3-2 loss to Kabwe Warriors.

Emmanuel Chabula, The Lusaka Dynamos striker assisted a goal and earned a penalty.
