Team of the week: Kaseba named player of the week

The MTN/FAZ Super League is quickly approaching the business end of things hence the competition on the pitch is getting stiffer by the day which makes closing players for the Team of the week even harder.

The Zamfoot crew is however still keeping a close eye on the matches and once again bring to you their team of the week.

Team of the week

GK- Mangani Banda – The Zanaco goal minder makes it into the team ahead of Lewis Siame of Kitwe United. Banda made a number of one one saves and kept a clean sheet as Zanaco drew with Buffaloes at Sunset.

RCB- Luka Banda – The NAPSA Stars central defender put in a great performance against Kabwe Warriors. He was very calm and collected.

CB- John Kiaku- The Lumwana defender made a number of interceptions and clearances to help the North Western based side keep a clean sheet. He also took the resiponsibility of taking a penalty and scoring it.

LCB- Richard Ocran – The Ghanian defender was solid for Nkana at the back as they hammered Nakambala Leopards by three goals to one.

DMF-Shadreck Malambo – The Red Arrows on loan midfielder to Nkana put in a decent shift in the middle of the park helping stabilize the midfield.

CM- George Simbayambaya – The Red Arrows midfielder showed his class against National Assembly with inch perfect passes and taking control of the midfield.

LMF- Daniel Sibanda – Red Arrows winger seems to be getting better by the day. Age for him is just a number. He gave National Assembly a tough time on the wings and also contributed a goal.

RMF- Jacob Ngulube – The Nkana midfielder was having a day to remember in the Middle of the park and also netted a goal. His passing and vision was near perfect on the day.

RCF- Conlyde Luchanga – The Lusaka Dynamos striker may have not scored on the day but he was very good on the day. He forced a penalty that Chris Mugalu missed then had another denied. His link up play, passing, vision and crossing was very good and most times his team mates let him down.

CF- Tapson Kaseba – The Green Eagles talisman has continued to do what he does best, Scoring goals and on Saturday he put two past Moonga Ndala in the Lusaka dynamos goal.

LCF-Jesse Jackson Were– The Zesco United striker returned from national duty to score a brace and help Zesco United to a 2-1 win over Kitwe United.

Player of the week- Tapson Kaseba scored a brace to lead Green Eagles to their 15th game without defeat in a row making him our stand out player of the week. He has now scored 16 times making him the highest goalscorer among Zambian strikers.

Coach of the week: Aggrey Chiyangi masterminded the downfall of Lusaka dynamos who were chasing revenge after their three nil humiliation in Choma and hence he gets the coach of the week.
